Video is coming to Twitter. Is your brand prepared?
Rumors have been flying around the Content Creation world about Twitter and all the new changes coming to the platform after the recent change in ownership.
Some reports have even confirmed the return of Vine.
(A small-form video platform bought by Twitter long before TikToc is what it is today.)
So far, we know that longer-form video content will soon be available on the platform, and monetization options will be available.
I decided it was time to make a list of how Content Creators can get into position to make life-changing wealth possibly…
Similar to how videos turned YouTubers into millionaires in the platform's early days, I think the same thing could happen here if all goes according to “plan.”
The algorithm is already prioritizing video and multi-media post more than ever. Here is what to do next!
Start Posting Video Content On Twitter
Use your smartphone camera or DSLR (Whatever is on brand for you)
Record short-form videos. (Even as short as10 seconds)
Use videos from other platforms you’ve already made. (with no watermarks if possible)
Recreate your memes or quote graphics in video form.
Give your 2 cents on breaking news (Real-time news is what Twitter is still known for)
2. Post One Long Form Thread A Week
The number one way to get impressions currently on Twitter is through threads.
This will require you to get better at writing/copy. (Twitter is primarily a writing platform there is no getting around this.)
Pick 2-5 topics you care about and write your thoughts out in a value-driven manner.
Edit your thoughts with bullet points and arrange them in order of significance or chronologically.
The more people read, the more “brownie points” the algorithm will give you in the future so choose your words and emojis wisely.
3. Dominate Twitter Spaces
Twitter Spaces is an audio-only streaming Platform it has grown to be one of the top features on the platform.
This content style blew up after the ClubHouse App in 2021 and isn’t going anywhere.
Host and attend at least one Twitter Space a week.
When you are in a Space, add value to the conversation and network with anyone who is listening to build your following
Other Things To Consider Before Using Twitter…
Concern about how the platform will evolve is at the top of many Content Creator’s Minds.
It’s no secret that Elon M. has ties with the World Economic Forum and is in favor of their 2030 agenda.
Many people don’t want their brand or business associated with their motives.
Only you can make that decision for you and your brand.
What are your thoughts?
